OpenLibre Viewer
Last updated: August 27, 2026
OpenLibre Viewer is designed to view OpenDocument files privately on your Android device.
Data collection
OpenLibre Viewer does not collect, sell, or share personal data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, account system, or tracking SDK.
Documents
Documents selected by the user are processed locally on the device. OpenLibre Viewer does not upload document contents to a server. Temporary private working files are removed when the viewing session closes.
Data stored on the device
The app may store limited local metadata needed for its features, including a document URI, display name, file size, last-opened time, viewing position, zoom preference, and theme preference. Recent items are shown only while Android reports that the app still has access to the underlying file. This information remains in the app's private storage and is removed when the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
Permissions and file access
OpenLibre Viewer uses Android's system file picker and per-file URI permissions. It does not request broad storage access or network access.
Third-party technology
The app uses open-source LibreOffice technology for local document rendering. This integration does not send documents to LibreOffice or any external service.
Children's privacy
OpenLibre Viewer is a general productivity app and is not directed to children. Because no personal data is collected, the app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app's features or privacy practices change. The latest version will show its effective date above.
